The team consists of volunteers from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao so as to provide Hong Kong and Macao residents with more convenient services when they consider starting their business or seek a job in the Greater Bay Area.
Duan Dehai, a standing member of CPC Nansha Committee and head of Nansha publicity department, said at the ceremony that the team will maximize the strengths of Hong Kong, Macao volunteers and contribute to more professional and international volunteer services in the Greater Bay Area.
In addition, the volunteers discussed ways to strengthen communication among the youth in the Greater Bay Area and improve the effectiveness of their services. They also put forward some suggestions for future development during the ceremony.
According to the organizer ‘Volunteer Valley’, they have adopted various measures to optimize volunteer services. For example, they invite high-profile trainers to offer both theoretical and practical training as well as providing different training courses targeting different volunteer teams.
Thus far, the number of registered volunteers has exceeded 350 thousand in Guangzhou, with a cumulative service time of more than 98 million hours.
